About 160 students from the California Academy of Mathematics and Science took to the stage Wednesday night to receive their diplomas.

CAMS, one of Long Beach Unified’s smaller high schools, was the first campus to have a graduation ceremony this year.

Superintendent Jill Baker congratulated the students, who also heard remarks from senior class speaker Chinenye Eneh, ASB President Christina Park, class of 2022 President Hannah Mourad, Principal Cheryl Cornejo, and Board of Education Trustee Erik Miller.
