A man was wounded inside the Extended Stay America hotel at 4105 E. Willow St. after an argument escalated into a shooting early Monday morning, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

It’s not clear what the argument was about, but police said they responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at the hotel near Signal Hill just after 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, police found a man shot multiple times in the upper and lower body, LBPD spokesperson Brandon Fahey said

The victim was taken to a local hospital to treat non-life-threatening injuries, Fahey said.

Officers found bullet casings at the scene, but the shooter fled before police arrived, Fahey said, adding that no suspect information is available at this time.
