A home in East Long Beach suffered extensive damage Friday afternoon in a second-alarm fire.

The fire broke out just before 4 p.m. in the 5500 block of Lonna Linda Drive in East Long Beach, fire officials said.

Fire crews at the scene were met by heavy fire coming from a single-story home in the area, authorities said.

It took firefighters nearly 30 minutes to put out the blaze, authorities said, adding that nobody was injured.

LBFD investigators also responded to determine the cause of the fire.
