Long Beach firefighters doused flames in the cabin of a boat in the Alamitos Bay Marina Tuesday morning.
Around 10:45 a.m., lifeguard boats were dispatched to a fire on a 45-foot power boat in the marina, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
The fire sent a cloud of smoke wafting over the water and caused both smoke and fire damage to the boat’s cabin, but the two people aboard were brought ashore without injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to a fire department spokesperson.
