One person walked away with a minor injury after a back house caught fire in West Long Beach Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.

Fire engines rushed to the scene of the fire near Adriatic Avenue and W. 33rd Street at 2:20 p.m. and knocked down the fire by 2:30 p.m., Long Beach Fire Department Capt. Matt Dobberpuhl said.

No one was been displaced because of the fire, he said.

Investigators were still looking into the cause of the blaze Thursday afternoon.
