The Long Beach Press-Telegram has seen its share of rough days this year, and Tuesday brought more of the same as journalists, other P-T employees, Councilwoman Tonia Reyes-Uranga and other supporters took to the streets to protest unfair wages.  The employees and their union, CWA Local 9400, have been locked in negotiations with the Los Angeles News Group for sixteen months now without resolve.

In an age of the struggling print industry and consistent cutbacks, the average P-T employee makes 5% less than he or she did in 1997.  Daniel DeBoom followed the workers and their efforts outside of the Arco Towers at 300 Oceangate.
