Crews were cleaning up Monday after a fire broke out in the attic of the Gaslamp, a popular bar and restaurant known for its live music.

The fire started shortly before 10 a.m. It was relatively small, staying mostly in the attic area, according to fire officials at the scene.

The flames set off sprinklers throughout the building, and firefighters were working to pump out the water.

Fire crews were still trying to determine exactly what sparked the fire, but an investigator said it appears to have started accidentally.

The Gaslamp’s owner, Michael Neufeld, said Monday morning he was still assessing the damage.

“We’re just evaluating right now,” he said.
