A big-rig got stuck after rolling down an embankment along the 405 Freeway in Long Beach shortly before noon Monday.

Nobody was seriously hurt, but crews had to call in heavy equipment to hoist the tractor-trailer out of the ditch.

The incident also tied up traffic on the southbound 405. The embankment was along a transition road from the southbound 405 to the northbound 710 Freeway, according to the CHP.

Authorities said one lane of the transition road was expected to be shut down for hours while crews hauled the truck out.

They also called in a hazardous materials crew to handle about 50 gallons of diesel and engine fluids that spilled into the dirt, according to the CHP.
