Have your umbrellas handy, Long Beach, because there’s a 30 percent chance of showers with thunderstorms on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

The rain is forecast to hit the area after 11 a.m. Monday. The day will overall be partly sunny, with a temperature high near 64 degrees and light west southwest wind increasing to 10 to 15 miles per hour in the afternoon, the weather service stated.

Winds could gust as high as 20 miles per hour.

The NWS also said there will be a chance of rain later in the week, from Thursday night through Saturday morning.
