This week on the Word on Long Beach.
:16 – On Thursday, the Long Beach Post will feature messages left on our Gratitude Line. These responses are all about what people are thankful for. The Gratitude Line is sponsored by Meals on Wheels Long Beach. This is the second time Meals on Wheels has sponsored the line and this week, we learn more about how the Gratitude Line started as well as the needed services provided by Meals on Wheels.
If you would like to volunteer or donate, you can do so here.
15:25 – Three different businesses, all on Ninth Street, are owned by individuals in the same family. In the Kitchen is owned by Nora Tatum, Feel Awakened is owned by her daughter Mia Pearson, and the Salt Lounge is owned by Tatum’s daughter and son-in-law, Tanai and Wesley Holder.
This week we find out how In the Kitchen and Feel Awakened came to be.
