A gun was discharged but no one was struck during a domestic altercation between a man and two women in a residence near the city’s Traffic Circle early Sunday.
Police responded to a person with a gun call at 2:05 a.m. in the 4300 block of Galeano Street.
Authorities said the two women were involved in an altercation with the male family member inside their home, which resulted in a firearm being discharged.
“The male adult suspect suffered an injury to his upper torso during the altercation and was taken to a local hospital by the Long Beach Fire Department where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries,” said Long Beach police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy.
The suspect has not yet been booked, she said. Police recovered a firearm from the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
