To help encourage healthy lifestyles in Long Beach, the city announced Thursday the launch of LiveWellLongBeach.org.

The website, supported by the Department of Health and Human Services, is an interactive platform that provides data on more than 100 health, demographic and quality of life indicators specific to Long Beach, according to a statement from the city.

It compares data from Long Beach zip codes, as well as shows comparative data for Los Angeles County and the State of California.

“LiveWellLongBeach.org is another example of our city using technology to provide free and open access to information,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “The data serve as a means to track progress, benchmark Long Beach against other cities, and assist all of us to work together to ensure everyone in our city is healthy and well.”
