Each day will feature different menu items for 60 cents. The 60-cent deal began Monday and will continue to be available through Sept. 16.

Today’s offerings include a burger, fries and pie (individual double crust) for $8.99 and a 60-cent Coke with any purchase, according to the eatery’s Facebook page.

Additionally, patrons are invited to share their memories of dining at the restaurant over the years with a photo, letter or story that will be posted on a banner in the restaurant. Patrons can also upload photos and post on the Hof’s Facebook page  or by sending an e-mail to [email protected]

According to information provided by Richard Berger, a spokesman for the restaurant, the first Hof’s Hut was opened back in 1951 by Harold Hofman in Belmont Shore. Hofman had previously operated a beach burger stand at Fifth Place in Long Beach.

“Our 60th anniversary is all about pride, family and great food,” said Craig Hofman, president of Hof’s Hut Restaurant & Bakery, in a statement. “We wanted to share this with  our loyal team members and guests, whom we consider part of the Hof’s family, with a countdown to this special day.”

Berger said a 99-cent anniversary bundt cake will be available on Sept. 16, and if a patron’s 60th birthday occurs during the week of Sept. 12 – 16, he or she will receive a complimentary Hofburger and fries with a valid ID with birth date.

Other promotions include entering a business card to win a Burger, Fry and Pie Office Lunch and one complimentary eco-friendly tote bag with each patron’s next online take-out order while
supplies last, Berger said.
