Over 100 people rallied and marched in Central Long Beach Wednesday evening, calling attention to various social justice causes as part of the annual May Day holiday that coincides with International Workers’ Day.

Starting with a rally at MacArthur Park in Cambodia Town, participants then took over the roads on Anaheim Street, Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway until arriving at Martin Luther King Jr. Park a mile north.

While organizers had security teams on bikes directing the crowd and traffic, Long Beach police were also assisting in the march on motorcycles and bicycles.
