Jenni Rivera’s estate filed a negligence lawsuit today against the owners of the jet that crashed, killing the Long Beach-based singer and four members of her entourage in 2012.
The suit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this year—a day before the second anniversary of Rivera’s death—against Starwood Management LLC, which owned the Learjet
The jet crashed at about 3:30AM on December 9, 2012, 15 minutes after leaving Monterrey in the mountains of Northern Mexico.
Killed with the 43-year-old entertainer were her publicist, Arturo Rivera; makeup artist Jacobo Yebale; hairstylist Jorge Armando Sanchez Vasquez; and Mario Macias Pacheco, her attorney.
