Jim and Ryan are not just sports guys — they’re superstars. Having found Formula DRIFT, it is recognized as one of North America’s most prominent professional drifting championship, holding 7 rounds of competitions in 7 different locations nationally. Long Beach is not only the home for the Series (with their offices located in Downtown), but also the location of the season opener for the past 6 years.

In only its ninth year of competition, Formula DRIFT has continued to grow with a sister Series in Asia and exhibition competitions all across the globe, in places like Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and Doha in Qatar. The Series also participates in the annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach with the Team DRIFT competition.

Formula DRIFT has also emerged as the newer generation of the old sport of racing, drawing its key audience from those aged 18- to 29-years-old. This has made them not only immensely popular, but highly marketable, with sponsors ranging from Mobil 1 to NOS Energy Drink to Electronic Arts.
