Jodi L. Hein has been named the new vice president and chief nursing officer at Dignity Health St. Mary Medical Center, the hospital announced in a statement Monday.

Hein, a life-long Long Beach resident, previously worked as chief nursing officer and chief clinical office for Promise Hospital East Los Angeles and oversaw nursing operations and administration for their two campuses in Paramount (Suburban Medical Center) and Los Angeles. She also previously worked as chief nursing officer for Lakewood Regional Medical Center.

“Her broad management and clinical experience, coupled with her understanding and support of St. Mary’s mission and tradition of caring, made Jodi an excellent choice for the chief nursing executive position,” said Dignity Health St. Mary Medical Center President/CEO Joel Yuhas in a statement.
