The Long Beach Junior Chamber will give 50 kids the chance of a lifetime next weekend, when they hand each an empty shopping cart and set them loose in search of school clothes, shoes and supplies. The underprivileged children would otherwise not have access to new school supplies.
The event will be held at CityPlace Shopping Center, 275 East 4th Street from 7am-10am. Volunteers are still needed and can pledge their time or find more information by clicking here. It costs $100 to provide for each child, and donations are being taken to cover the costs of all 50 children. Click here to sponsor a child.
