12794955 1158303354180184 2464512057438622568 oAuthor, Jenni Rivera Enterprises CEO and reality TV star, Rosie Rivera, will be on hand to empower and advise Latinas in leadership skills during Latinos in Action’s Third Annual Latina Women’s Conference.

Guests of the March 19 event, which runs from 7:00AM to 4:00PM in the John Edward Parr Health Enhancement Center, will attend various workshops throughout the day to learn about managing personal finances, increasing business, controlling emotions, achieving goals and obtaining nontraditional work that may offer good salaries.

Rivera will be featured in a motivational panel alongside Jackeline Cacho, host of VMe Tv Network’s Triunfo Latino, Imelda Interiano, Alejandra Torres Galacid and Hector Gonzalez.

“It is our greatest joy to be able to teach and serve at the conference,” Martha Cota, Founder of Latinos in Action, said in a statement. “Each year we strive to uplift the women that attend by promoting, [strengthening] and engaging the Latino community.”

Cota will be accompanied by Latinos in Action co-founder Evangelina Ramirez, Dignity Health-St. Mary Medical Center President and CEO Joel Yuhas and Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews.

“I am excited to be a part of this years event to inspire and educate the women of our community to achieve their dreams,” said Councilman Andrews in a statement.

Latinos in Action was organized in 2009 by a group who deemed it their mission to empower and enrich the lives of youth and families through safety in neighborhoods, health and education. Collectively, they form and sustain healthy, peaceful and harmonious relationships while respecting cultural diversity, according to a press release.

Attendees will be treated to a performance by Mariachi Arriba Talpa and lunch provided by Leo’s Mexican Grill. A raffle and an outdoor performance by the band Tamborazo San Juan will help wrap-up the event.
