The Long Beach Chamber Pro-Business PAC voted unanimously to support incumbents Dr. Felton Williams and Jon Meyer in their re-election bid for the Long Beach Unified School District Board of Education. The Pro-Business PAC cited the candidates’ experience and commitment to education in the city.
“These two candidates are 100% committed to putting students first,” said Dave Neary, Chairman of the Long Beach Chamber Pro-Business PAC. “They are not focused on running for higher office and are determined to maintain the status of our school district as one of the best in the country.”
Under Williams and Meyer’s leadership, Long Beach Unified School District is one of the leading urban school districts in the nation, winning the Broad Prize in Education in 2003 and becoming a finalist last year.
