On Friday night, two would-be armed robbers were thwarted when the owner of the convenience store they were attempting to hold-up pulled out his own gun and began shooting at them.

Mean Kim was stocking the soda cases at Meadow Made Dairy on the 1300 block of W. Willow around 10:30PM when he saw two men with guns enter the store. He quickly reached for his weapon and began firing at them. The men escaped and it does not appear that anyone was hit, however, footage from CBS Los Angeles shows that a bullet did shatter one of the store’s refridgerator glasses.

CBS also reported that this is the first time the LBPD has been called to the location in more than five years and neighbors interviewed said that they are shocked this happened here. ā€œI feel like I’m in a battlefield right now,ā€ Kim told CBS’ cameras.
