The flags hung at half-mast outside City Hall yesterday morning, a morning spent celebrating and thanking those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to serve the public.
Both the Fire Department and Police Department joined city officials, friends and family at the Police & Fire Memorial near the back of City Hall to honor the authorities who have fallen in the line of duty.
