On an historic day for another reason, the Long Beach Fire Department celebrated by unveiling their first new station in 22 years at a new site on Terminal Island near the Port of Long Beach. The station will specialize in servicing the Port, including dealing with hazardous materials.
“This station will provide the Long Beach Fire Department with an important base in the midst of the Port, and provide for improved service to the tenants in the Port, as well as the entire community” said Fire Chief Dave Ellis in a released statement.
Photographer Diana Lejins was in attendance to bring you images of the sparkling new station.
