After joining 99 other politicians in being photographed for the iconic NOH8 campaign, Congressmember Alan Lowenthal has joined fellow representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen—the only Republican who’s taken part in the campaign thusfar—in urging their colleagues to follow suit.

Posting a video online, the bipartisan pair invites their comrades in Congress to join the fourth upcoming NOH8 On The Hill photoshoot, set for October 2. As Lowenthal and Ros-Lehtinen did this past June, politicians will face photographer Adam Bouska’s camera with the now-iconic duct tape over their mouths to metaphorically display the silence with which many have approached equality in America.

“Over the past three years more than 100 members of Congress have joined together with the NOH8 Campaign to stand up for equality,” Ros-Lehtinen said in the video.

The June shoot, organized by Lownethal himself, was the largest NOH8 On The Hill shoot to date, drawing some 64 politicians’ participation, including the first two members of the Senate, Senator Martin Heinrich of New Mexico and Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, as well as the first Congressional Republican, Ros-Lehtinen herself.
