Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride, Inc. (LGLGP) has announced their annual art contest and is currently seeking entries of artwork that showcases this year’s chosen theme, “Color our World with Pride.” While last year’s competition only attracted two entries, the more fruitful 2013 contest lead winner Glen Hemanes, to commemorate the Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Festival’s 30th Anniversary with his design [pictured]

GlenThis year’s chosen artist will receive the public exposure of a lifetime with the winning image to be utilized in both advertising and merchandising of Pride events and products. The artist who creates the chosen piece will also be awarded $250.

The work of art must be on a paper size of 8 1/2” x 11″ and must be formatted in Illustrator, Photoshop, EPS, PDF and hi-resolution JPEG. The color must be either black and white or in PMS colors, Red 26, Orange 28, Yellow 12, Green 85, Blue 68 and Purple 48. The image must be PC and Mac compatible and print ready or it can be mailed or hand delivered to LBLGP, Inc. Attention: Publicity Committee, 1017 Obispo Ave., Long Beach, CA, 90804. The submission deadline is February 15, 2015 at 4:00PM. The winning piece will become the property of LBLGP, Inc.
