Long Beach’s iconic Pink Party returns to the city on May 20 with a new hue.
This year’s Pink Party, hosted by the Queer Mafia and the LGBTQ Center Long Beach, will take place at WE Labs at the Packard and will include an indoor/outdoor event experience where guests will be treated to live music from LaLa, Jesse Montana, James Kennedy, Faith (all from Vanderpump Rules), DJ Les Ortiz and Marie Parie.
“The Center is thrilled to partner with Queer Mafia on the 2016 Pink Party,” said Porter Gilberg, executive director of the LGBTQ Center Long Beach in a statement. “With a new location, new partnership, and renewed energy, we know that this Pink Party is going to be the most awesome to date.”
The event kicks off Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride and is the annual fundraiser for the LGBTQ Center Long Beach, helping raise funds for the center’s various community programs including counseling, youth mentorship, education and outreach.
“With this year’s Pink Party, we are looking to help create an environment for young and vibrant professionals to network, give back and celebrate diversity in our community,” Megan Papageorge, Queer Mafia member and Pink Party planning committee lead said in a statement. “This is what Queer Mafia is all about and we are really excited to be supporting the Center with a fresh take on one of our community’s most important gatherings.”
The event will also include an eyelash extension station, themed food truck offerings, body painting, pink cake cops and cotton candy, among other things.
The Pink Party will run from 7:00PM to 11:00PM. Pink Party ticket holders will receive free admissions to Hamburger Mary’s, where they can continue the celebration until closing.
General admissions tickets went on sale April 20 at a discounted, pre-sale price of $20. Tickets will be $25 at the door. VIPink tickets are available for $75 and include VIP entrance, body painting, drink and food truck tickets, cotton candy, cake pops and a Pink Party gift bag.
