Following the downfall of DOMA and the dismissal of Prop 8 back to the lower courts, gay weddings are occurring at a rapid pace–and that is why the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach is launching a wedding directory entirely dedicated to businesses that support equality.
The online directory provides engaged Long Beach couples with access to everything from caterers to venues, florists to event planners–all with the assurance that they will be treated fairly and respectfully.
“We are incredibly excited to continue supporting loving and committed couples in our community with the launch of our wedding directory,” said Ron Sylvester, President and Chairman of The Center, in a press release. “Our main goal is to act as a resource to connect LGBTQ engaged couples with allied business in our community.”
The directory, largely a result of direct feedback from couples, is sponsored by Dave Schneider of Schneider Fine Jewelry and Diamonds. It can be found on The Center’s website at www.centerlb.org.
Businesses interested in being listed on the free directory are encouraged to contact The Center’s Administrative Director Porter Gilberg at 562-434-4455.
