In the absence of a City Council meeting tonight (Council does not meet on the last Tuesday of the month), discussion will be held tonight in the Main Library to address public concerns about the proposed 2009 budget and the possible closure of the Main Library.

From 5:30-6:30pm, Councilwoman Bonnie Lowenthal will host a discussion about the 2009 budget and how it will affect residents in her First District.  Lowenthal’s staff will conduct a presentation and field questions from the audience.

From 6:30-8:00pm, the topic will shift to the possible closure and future of the Main Library.  Both discussions will be held in the Main Library, and questions can be addressed to Nikki Tenant, Lowenthal’s Chief of Staff, at (562) 570.5502.
