Long Beach bar Liquid Lounge was cited over the weekend for evidence of insects found in bottles of alcohol.

The bar, located at 3522 East Anaheim Street, was cited Saturday for serving contaminated bottles of alcohol, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

LBPD’s Vice Investigations Sections, in cooperation with investigators from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, conducted the “ABC Impact Inspection” throughout the City of Long Beach to assess the business’ compliance with current alcohol-related laws.

Out of 26 establishments visited during the operation, the Liquid Lounge was the only one cited, said Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Pratt.

An owner or manager of the Liquid Lounge could not be reached for comment Tuesday afternoon.
