10:01am | Laserfiche, a Long Beach-based company that offers document and enterprise content management solutions to businesses and organizations, announced earlier this month the launch of its new iPhone application, which provides users with “on-the-go” content management capabilities.

Dubbed “Laserfiche Mobile,” the app allows users to:

  • Create and upload new content with the iPhone camera;
  • Automatically crop, straighten and enhance captured information with full recognition;
  • Copy, move, rename, download, e-mail, print or delete content;
  • Browse for documents in a folder structure or search the entire repository; and
  • Participate in workflow automation processes by accessing metadata fields.

The app, which was officially announced on June 20, is available for free and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.

Laserfiche officials said the app operates with Laserfiche Web access as part of the Laserfiche Avante and Laserfiche Rio systems. To accept connections from Laserfiche Mobile, Laserfiche users can download the free add-on, Laserfiche Mobile Add-On, from the Laserfiche Support Site.

The company’s software is used by more than 30,000 organizationa across the globe, including federal, state and local government agencies as well as Fortune 1,000 companies, according to the company’s “About Us” page on its website.
