The Long Beach Department of Health is looking to hear from residents about health issues that affect them at recently scheduled Community Health Needs Assessment forums, to take place on October 10 and 17 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM this month.
Spanish and Khmer interpretation will be available at each forum, according to a release issued by the City today. Refreshments will also be provided. The concerns stated and solutions discussed will be published in a citywide Health Assessment, scheduled to be released in March 2016.
“These sessions are intended to gather information from our diverse constituents and partners,” said Kelly Colopy, Health and Human Services director, in a statement. “Our residents’ engagement in this effort will help shape health equity efforts throughout the City.”
Specifically, the meetings will take place:
- Saturday, October 10 at Ramona Park Community Center (3301 East 65th Street)
- Saturday, October 17 at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park Community Center (1950 Lemon Avenue)
The meetings were organized jointly by the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services, Long Beach MemorialCare Health System and The Children’s Clinic, Kaiser Permanente South Bay and Dignity Health St. Mary Medical Center.
