Authorities today sought the public’s help in identifying and locating two women in Long Beach who attacked a woman and ran off with her wallet, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Peace Street at a little before 12:50 p.m. Thursday, June 24 regarding a robbery to a person.

The victim had been walking down the street when the two suspects tried to take her purse, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

The woman held onto her purse as the robbers “battered” her, police said, before taking her wallet and fleeing on foot.

Paramedics took the woman to an area hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.
