UPDATE | Long Beach police announced that the missing 10-year-old girl was located safe later Saturday evening.

LBPD detectives, with the help of the Los Angeles Police Department, found Leilani Sucess Collins safe in the 500 block of West 77th Street in Los Angeles.

Detectives were still in Los Angeles investigating what caused the girl to run away, LBPD spokesman Ivan Garcia said. No other details were provided.

07/11/20 at 9:50 a.m. | Long Beach police were asking for the public’s help Saturday in locating a 10-year-old critical missing girl.

Leilani Sucess Collins was last seen Friday at approximately 5:30 p.m., police said.

She was last seen in the 5400 block of Paramount Boulevard near Davenport Park in Long Beach. Collins suffers from medical condition(s) and may lose focus easily, police said.

Police added that she has run away in the past and was found recently riding on a Metro train. She is familiar with the train and bus systems, police said.

Collins is Black, 4-feet tall, weighs 60 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a white 3/4 sleeve-length shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
