Monday, April 15 is the deadline for regular tax filings and all mail sent to the Internal Revenue Service must be postmarked by midnight tonight to qualify as timely. Many post offices across the Southland are offering extended hours to accommodate late filers, including the United States Postal Services’ General Mail Facility on Redondo Ave. in Long Beach.

Long Beach’s largest post office will maintain its usual retail hours until 7PM, but will be collecting mail at its external drop-off points until 10PM. The next closest location that will be collecting mail that late is near the Los Angeles Airport.

If you miss the 10PM cutoff in Long Beach, three USPS locations will be staying open until midnight, one in South L.A. on Central Ave., one in Santa Clarita on Franklin Parkway and another in Santa Ana on Sunflower Ave.

October 15 is the deadline for those who have filed an extension.

Long Beach GMF is located at 2300 Redondo Ave.
