Long Beach broke an old record-low temperature of 38 degrees Tuesday morning when the mercury dipped to 37 degrees for the same date, set back in 2002, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The initial record-low temperature was set at Long Beach Airport that year, NWS officials stated.
