10:00am | Councilmember Patrick O’Donnell will be hosting a presentation and discussion of the Los Cerritos Wetlands at October’s “Chat with Pat” meeting. The meeting will take place Wednesday, October 5, 4:30pm – 6:00pm at the Los Altos Library, 5614 Britton.

This month’s  “Chat with Pat” meeting will feature a presentation from Eric Zahn and Taylor Parker, wetlands ecologists with Tidal Influence, a local environmental consultation company, working in close partnership with the Los Cerritos Wetlands Land Trust.  They will be discussing the history of the area, restoration efforts and presenting a virtual “tour” of the wetlands.  Councilmember O’Donnell, in addition to being the Mayor’s appointee to the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy, sits on the Board of the Los Cerritos Wetlands Authority.

“The wetlands are a treasure in our backyard,” O’Donnell said. “I am excited to share the work of the Los Cerritos Wetlands Land Trust, particularly their education and restoration efforts. ”

Each month, Councilmember O’Donnell hosts “Chat with Pat” meetings to keep residents informed on issues facing the city and what is happening in the district.  He is the only Councilmember that holds a standing monthly where residents can share their thoughts and concerns.
