MARCH 23 12:50PM | The man who died Friday after falling off the roof of a third-story building in Alamitos Beach was identified Monday, authorities said.
Robert Simms, 46, of Long Beach, was apparently painting when he fell at about 2:00PM Friday in the 2000 block of East Third Street, said Los Angeles County Department of Coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
Simms died upon impact of the fall, Winter said.

MARCH 23 9:49AM | A man died Friday afternoon after falling off the roof of a three-story building in Alamitos Beach, in what officials are calling an industrial accident.
The incident occurred on the 2000 block of East Third Street at about 2:00PM, said Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokesperson Claudia Lopez.
The man, who was working at the time, fell from the roof of a three-story building, added Long Beach Fire Department spokesperson Jake Heflin.
