A man in his 20s drowned in Rainbow Harbor near the Queen Mary on Saturday, according to the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD).

The man was last seen at 3:00PM, according to LBFD Press Information Officer Brian Fisk. He then appeared to stand on a locked AquaLink water taxi and walk off the boat’s bow into the water.

“He was submerged for almost 30 minutes,” Fisk said in a statement.

LBFD units were sent to the scene at 3:08PM. The man was pulled out of the water at 3:50PM.
