A man is in stable condition after being shot late Saturday in North Long Beach, police said.
Officers arrived to the area of E. 53rd Street and Long Beach Boulevard at 10:38 p.m. to respond to the shooting. There, they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his upper-body, according to the Long Beach police department.
Police said the victim had been shot during an altercation with another man. Before officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene, but evidence of a shooting was found in the area, authorities said.
No other information was immediately available and police are still investigating the incident.
