Police say they are investigating a stabbing in North Long Beach that left one man injured early Saturday morning.

The man, according to police, was on the 2500 block of 67th street when an unknown man approached him and stabbed him repeatedly in the upper body. Officers found the victim on the 6700 block of Paramount Boulevard near the 91 Freeway, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Officers rendered aid until fire department personnel arrived and took the victim to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds, LBPD said.

The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival and no suspect information is available, the department said. The investigation is ongoing.
