Man wounded in shooting on Locust Avenue, police say

Long Beach police are investigating a shooting that left a man hospitalized Saturday evening.

At approximately 6:33 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 2300 block of Locust Avenue. The victim, who was shot by another man who fled the area, was transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department personnel with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

The investigation, including determining more information about the suspect and motive, is ongoing.
