A 57-year-old woman who went missing near Community Hospital in Long Beach last week has been found dead, authorities said today.

Mary Margaret Robinson, who had an undisclosed medical condition that could cause her to be disoriented, was last seen alive on the morning of June 9 following an appointment at Community Hospital, according to police, who put out a news release at the time asking for help finding her. After the appointment, she was seen traveling in an unknown direction in a wheelchair near the 1700 block of Termino Avenue, police said.

Robinson’s body was found three days later around 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, according to Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office spokeswoman Sarah Ardalani. Robinson was found about three miles away from Community Hospital in the 100 block of Atlantic Avenue near Downtown Long Beach, according to authorities.

The coroner’s office is still working to determine what caused her death, but medics determined she was dead at the scene, Ardalani said.
