Metro Blue Line riders were subject to delays Monday morning after an SUV collided with a train in the Long Beach Loop area, Metro authorities said.

At about 10:50AM, on Pacific Avenue near Seventh Street, an SUV tried to make a left turn in front of the Metro train, making contact, Metro spokesman Marc Littman said.

No injuries were reported.

Riders aboard the affected train were transferred to a different train to continue their travels, said Littman.

By noon, the incident was cleared up, but sheriff’s deputies, Long Beach police and Metro officials were still on scene.

Riders may still experience a 20-minute delay in the Long Beach Loop area, Littman said.
