A motorcyclist was injured in a possible hit-and-run collision on the 710 freeway south of Willow Avenue Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

The collision occurred at 1:53 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the fast lane, according a Long Beach Fire Department spokesman.

The suspect vehicle is a gray Ford Fusion without plates, said a California Highway Patrol spokesman. No further details about the vehicle or collision were available, according to the CHP.

The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition, according to the LBFD.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing, according to the CHP.
