Yesterday at 1:10pm, Long Beach Police responded to a residence in an apartment complex in the 30 block of E. Plymouth Street regarding a stabbing that resulted in the death of a female adult.
The preliminary investigation indicated the victim, identified as 39-year-old Tekeisha Neeley of Long Beach, was visiting the complex when a dispute had occurred between unknown parties, resulting in the stabbing of Neeley in her upper torso. She was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival as a result of said injury.
A motive is unclear; however, detectives believe there are individuals who may have witnessed the incident or have information regarding what occurred. Investigators are hopeful that someone will come forward and the investigation remains ongoing.
