NaplesFest

The Naples Island Business Association (NIBA) will hold its annual Naples Fest once again on Thursday, spotlighting local businesses along Second Street and Naples Plaza from 5:30PM to 8:30PM.

“Naples Fest connects businesses with the community in this annual ‘Taste of Naples,’” said NIBA President Bob Lane in a statement. “It is a fun and festive evening that puts a spotlight on our member businesses.”

The cuisine of the world can be experienced from all of the Island’s restaurants that participate in the event. They offer samples ranging from Mexican, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Indian and American. Tickets for these samples can be purchased at various locations during the evening.

The event will also transform Naples Island Car Wash into into a Wine and Beer Garden. Back by popular demand, the Buzzy James Trio featuring Trish Burke will provide entertainment.

The Long Beach Trolley will give free rides and face painting is available for children.

Most members will set up tables in front of their business or in front of the Small Cafe in a parking lot in the Island Center. Councilwoman Suzie Price, Assemblyman Patrick O’Donnell and the Naples Improvement Association’s CERT/Community Watch program will also have tables, according to the release.

The Long Beach State Women’s Basketball Team is set to wear their team attire, ensuring easy recognition as they provide information and maps for the event. Coach Jody Wynn will also be present to discuss the upcoming season.

The family-friendly event is sponsored by Michael’s on Naples and Farmers & Merchant Bank.
