The Long Beach chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women will present Homeless at the Beach: What Do We Know? And What Can We Do? As part of its annual Adie Holzman Mini-Conference on Sunday.

The event will take place Sunday, March 19 from 9:30AM to 2:30PM at the Alpert Jewish Community Center, located at 3801 East Willow Street.

Attendees will learn about Long Beach’s homeless issue from a panel of experts that includes Teresa Chandler, the city’s Human Services Bureau manager; Dr. Rashida Crutchfield of Cal State Long Beach’s School of Social Work; Arlene Mercer, with the Long Beach Area Coalition for the Homeless; and Los Angeles County Juvenile Court Judge Catherine Pratt.

Representatives from Urban Community Outreach, Children Today, School on Wheels and the Long Beach Area Coalition for the Homeless will also be in attendance.
