Long Beach Transit, Metro to Offer Free Fare on New Year's Eve

Saint Motel, ZZ Ward, Houndmouth, and Vintage Trouble, each bringing guests to perform throughout the evening. Those guests include a special DJ set from OK Go’s Dan Konopka and Tim Nordwind’s project Xia Xia Technique, FMLYBND, Miles Tackett & The 3 Times, and DJ Sovern-T. Rainbow Harbor will act as the venue for the family-oriented celebration from 5PM to 10PM, complete with face painting, and a trackless train to carry big kids and little kids alike. Dallas and Doll, along with other performers, will be performing live for those looking to dance. Come 9PM, when the East Coast will be ringing in 2016, the sky will be lit up with a 10-minute fireworks spectacular from the Harbor’s lighthouse peninsula. The Pine festivities will kick off at 8PM on New Year’s Even and culminate with a midnight countdown, followed by celebration and dancing until 2AM. Due to the high volume of ticket sales and foreseen selling out of the event, tickets to the Pine Avenue event will be available online only. Pre-sale tickets for the concert-style street party are on sale online only for $30 at www.downtownlongbeach.org. Tickets will then be available online only for $40 on December 24.
