Long Beach police made two arrests following a stabbing incident Saturday morning that left two people injured.

Police responded to a possible stabbing call at the 2700 block of East 57th Street, near the intersection of South Street and Paramount Boulevard, at approximately 1:30 a.m.

Officers found two men who both suffered stab wounds to the upper body, police said.

Long Beach fire transported the men to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Officers arrested 33-year-old Armando Lopez of Hawthorne on suspicion of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, police said. He was booked at the Long Beach City Jail and is being held on a $60,000 bail, police said.

Cindy Cardenas of Downey, 29, was also arrested on suspicion for accessory, according to police. Cardenas was booked at the Long Beach City Jail and is being held on a $30,000 bail, police said. The motive for the stabbing is unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
