Editor’s note: Michael Savee was located safely Thursday morning near another local hospital, police said.

Long Beach police are asking for the public’s help finding an at-risk 73-year-old man who went missing Wednesday night.

Michael Savee was last seen around 8:30 p.m. by staff of a local hospital in the 2800 block of Atlantic Avenue, police said.

Savee was waiting to get treatment at the hospital for his medical conditions when he walked away, police said.

It isn’t clear where Savee was headed, police said, adding that he has medical and cognitive issues that may cause him to become disoriented.

Savee was described by authorities as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last wearing a gray hoodie, green plaid flannel, a black T-shirt, salmon-colored pants, and brown boots, police said.
